Class Is Now In Session – A Hot Tomato History Lesson
~used as a title for women in artistic or exotic occupations.
Oh yes… Meet Our Founder, Jesse Bell-Boggs aka Jesse Hyde
Jesse Hyde, founder of Hot Tomato Pinup Academy, set the standard for Hot Tomato when it began as a workshop on how to do pin-up hair and make-up.
She and Andi quickly joined forces and over the course of five years, built Hot Tomato into not just a business that serves women, but a community that serves all the women in the area. We have been and still are, committed to changing the culture around female relationships with one another. We believe a rising tide raises all ships.
From their humble beginnings in Andi’s home, garage studio to the current, beautiful space in downtown Marietta, Jesse and Andi built the area’s first portrait studio that specializes in photographing and lifting women up. We have photographed literally hundreds of women. I can almost promise you that you know someone that has worked with Hot Tomato.
In mid 2017, in keeping spirit with the “family first” guiding principle, it was mutually decided that Jesse would return to staying in the home more to be full time mom (update she is now working fulltime in the recovery community in honor of her sister, Emily!) It was the sweetest end you could ever wish for. There were tears, there were smiles, there were hugs. We couldn’t have written a better ending to our partnership. Her spirit and sass are evident everywhere in the Hot Tomato Studio and her day to day presence is missed.
You can still find her partying with us, at live music events and running her ass off. She still writes for us on occasion but she will always be the Madame.
Are you ready to book your session? The Madame would be super proud of you if you did!
